"Cheers" + "Lights Out" | Digital Design Final Collections

"Cheers!" is half of my final project for the Digital Design (FAME 30273) at Texas Christian University, and was conceptualized, designed, and completed in the fall semester of my junior year. Skills in Adobe Illustrator, Kaledo Print, and Kaledo Style were used to create this project. Fine china, extravagant garden parties, exotic florals, and detailed butterflies served as my main inspiration for this collection. The title "Cheers!" comes from the party-inspired aspect of the project, as well as the cheerful, sophisticated feeling I hope these designs bring to the wearer.

"Lights Out" is the other half of my final project for the Digital Design (FAME 30273) at Texas Christian University, and was conceptualized, designed, and completed in the fall semester of my junior year. Skills in Adobe Illustrator, Kaledo Print, and Kaledo Style were used to create this project. My love of sports, abstract art, and the prominence of the collaboration of sport and fashion inspired this collection. In contrast to my hand-drawn collection, using computer drawing techniques allowed my creativity to be unleashed without the challenge of drawing by hand holding me back. Keeping the target market in mind, I chose to keep the motifs for these prints minimal by tracing several Formula One circuits. The title "Lights Out" is a shortened version of the classic line announced at the race start: "it's lights out, and away we go".
